Jesa Kristi R. Torno, is an Associate and a member of the Firm’s Litigation, Real Estate, and Corporate Departments.

Jesa’s primary practice areas include civil and criminal litigation, real estate transactions, and corporate organization and reorganization.

Jesa has handled numerous litigation cases both as private prosecutor and defense counsel. She has represented clients in all stages of criminal, civil, and administrative proceedings. She has appeared before trial courts and various government agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Land Registration Authority, Bureau of Customs, Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines, and the Land Transport Franchising and Regulatory Board. Jesa likewise handles real estate transactions, preparation, drafting and review of legal documents and contracts, and general counseling of retainer clients.

Prior to joining the Firm, Jesa was a Junior Associate at a law firm in Ortigas where she gained extensive experience in the field of litigation on top of her practical knowledge of corporate and intellectual property law.

Jesa obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines-Diliman. Thereafter, she received her Bachelor of Laws degree from San Beda College- Alabang. She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2016.

Jesa’s recent transactions include:

• Appearing before trial courts, the Office of the Ombudsman, as well as before various administrative and quasi-judicial bodies;
• Handling and advising upon settlement of estates, incorporation of business entities, partition, accounting, reconveyance, annulment of title, and annulment of extra-judicial foreclosure sale cases, among others; and
• Assisted clients concerning intellectual property law, including the cancellation of trademarks and handling infringement cases.*
